Yes boys and girls, it's time for a new post. So here we go!
Energy on high, the sun is shining.
I was thinking about this the other day because I've noticed how things have just been springing up...literally.
(( And by the way I want to say hello to any newer people on this tribe. I'm glad you're here. :) Feel free to post thoughts and such or introduce yourselves. The more energy the better and however it flows is ok with me. So take care and may your path be filled with bright shiney fuzzy warm comfy and growth filled light/love/potatoes/whatnot ))
So this was my thought:
Winter time is often symbolized by introspection.
Summer time is often symbolized by extroversion.
In Winter we go indoors, we stay close to family and have the closest people to us around. We find comfort in the warmth and cozy things.
Summer brings light, going out, parties, gatherings, sprouting energy.
As far as emotions, winter would be sadness...summer would bring the energy out...possibly unto anger.
And that precisely is what got this going in me. I thought about it, and the seeds of emotion planted in winter are thought about, understood deeper...internalized. Come Summer's light they bear their fruit, they seek balance with the new energy and they are spoken about or expressed.
Out here in Southern California there was a week of sudden heat out of the warmth of spring. That heat was intense and widely felt. With temperatures reaching into the 90's and above it was quite a difference than the 70 and below that we had been experiencing. I loved it as I've missed the Sun and was soaking up the rays. But what happened is that all around me during this week there was all these flair ups of emotion and change. Like it was just waiting for that spark. When that spark came the energy bubbled up, came out and the situations that had long been waiting over the season now bore fruit. It's beautiful.
The seasons are reflected in more than holidays and plants. We live the seasons as we are part of the Earth. This is a beautiful thing and always gives us chance to get perspective on ourselves and the greater perspectives that we experience. In this view we also understand how tied to nature we are and with that understanding we can not only adapt but grow into a deeper understanding with each passing cycle.
Welcome to the warmth and may it bring the expression you've been waiting for out into the open in a way that encourages growth.
